Day 1 - The evening continues
Puffer Hartzenberg, seen here with Gary Cadle and Ulla (Gossow). Puffer also still lives near Grahamstown. He owns a dairy products company which distributes around the Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth areas and some distance beyond.
Here's another guy I didn't recognise at all: Hein Scheepers. Someone (Mrs Fletcher, I think) had told me that he had become exceedingly exceedingly handsome, and it turned out to be true. It was not quite so evident in these pics, due to the fact that he had already imbimbed sufficient quantities of alcohol to replace the whites of his eyes with red. Here he is seen auditioning for Tarzan with his agent, Grant Butterworth. Just kidding! Hein lives in PE now, and reports that his mother (who was also a teacher at Kingswood) is well, and enjoying a lot of community and charity activities.
Another guy I simply couldn't recognise, in spite of several clues (or red herrings?) which he gave me. Chris Veitch (seen here with the mystery dude) and some of the other boys explained that he had looked somewhat different at school -- "More like this", they said, and tried with his assistance to mould his face into its original teenage shape. I have up eventually, and asked someone who on earth this was! It was Trevor Harty!
